The CCG has administered 36,000 COVID vaccine doses through our local vaccination services to date. The majority of older adult care home residents have received their first dose of the vaccine. Patients who have recently been placed at a care home or recently ill will receive the vaccine as part of a weekly ‘mop up’ session as residents become suitable for the vaccine to ensure we are capturing all residents. Large numbers of care home workers have also received the vaccine.
We have completed Priority 2 – residents over 80 years of age within North Tyneside and are nearly completed Priority 3 – residents over 75 years of age. Work on vaccinating Priority 4 – residents aged 70 and above and extremely clinically vulnerable individuals are progressing well.
If you are aged 70 and above or an extremely clinical vulnerable individual and have not got a date for your vaccine yet and would like to receive the vaccine, please contact your Practice and let them know that you would like to book in to receive the COVID vaccine. Only contact you practice if you are in Priority 1 – 4.
