Update for patients registered with GPs at Battle Hill Health Centre

Thu 07th September 2017

Earlier this year, we asked patients who are registered for GP services at Battle Hill Health Centre for their feedback on a proposal to make Battle Hill a branch surgery of another local practice.

We are currently in discussions with local practices with a view to securing a provider who can offer this service at Battle Hill. For that reason, we have agreed with the current provider, Freeman Clinics, to extend the contract.

Freeman Clinics will therefore continue to provide GP services at Battle Hill Health Centre until 31 March 2018. Registered patients do not need to take any action, and can carry on using the GP service in the normal way.

We will contact registered patients again in the next few months with a further update. In the meantime, if you have any questions, you can contact us at ntccg.contactus@nhs.net or by calling 0191 217 2803.

The Battle Hill Health Centre Engagement Report – which outlines all the comments and feedback received during the engagement exercise – is available here and printed copies are available on request by calling 0191 217 2803.

Many registered patients also use services from the Battle Hill walk-in centre, which is based on the same site. The latest update on the review of urgent care services – which includes the walk-in centres at Battle Hill and Rake Lane as well as out-of-hours GP services is here.
